Strength Meter NOVOTEST IPSM

Strength Meter NOVOTEST IPSM is an Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) tester for finding defects in concrete products, bricks and other solid materials based on the analysis of the propagation of ultrasonic waves in the material. Two transducers are connected to the device (transmitter and receiver), during operation, the device gets the time of propogation ultrasonic waves between the transducers, having a fixed base (distance between the transducers), the device calculates the velocity of ultrasonic waves in the material, based on which it is possible to build a correlation with the testing parameter. The method allows users to evaluate such parameters as strength, density, elastic modulus, sound index and other parameters that have a correlation with the velocity of propagation of ultrasound in the material. The device meets the ASTM C597-16 (Standard Test Method for Pulse Velocity Through Concrete).

Concrete Rebound Hammer NOVOTEST SH

Concrete rebound hammer (sclerometer) – is a device for concrete and other building materials strength testing. The engineer Ernst Schmidt invented the construction of the sclerometer.

The method is based on the impacting the impact plunger on the concrete surface with predetermined (normed) impacting energy and subsequent measuring of the height of the striker rebounding. The height of the striker rebounding will be proportional to the strength of concrete. The strength of concrete is determined with the calibration charts that are supplied with the instrument.


Concrete Rebound Hammer NOVOTEST SH is very ease in operation, has good reliability of design and high measurement accuracy, so that this method is the most common method of measuring the strength of concrete in the world. Steel Structure Analyzer NOVOTEST KRC-M2 is designed for measuring coercive force of metal products in accordance with IEC 60404-7 and is used for non-destructive testing of chemical-thermal, thermal and thermomechanical treatments, evaluation of mechanical properties and residual stresses.

Steel structure analyzer is used for determination of mechanical properties, and measurement the hardness of metal products, as well as measurements of products of ferromagnetic alloys in the presence of correlations between the studied parameters. In addition, the device is used for testing the surface layer of ferromagnetic material for grading the metal in steel grades.

KRC-M2 has an electromagnet transmitter with integrated Hall sensor and removable pole tips.

The operation principle of the device consist of following: initially is performed a magnetization of area of the tested object and after that its subsequent progressive demagnetization by the increasing of the field. Next, it is the fixation of the intensity of magnetic field in accordance with the coercive force of material of tested object and measurement the amplitude of signals from the Hall sensor.

The main area of using the Steel Structure Analyzer NOVOTEST KRC-M2 – is analys the stress-strain state and residual life of pipelines, elevators, cranes and lifts, pressure vessels, steel cables of bridges also it used in engineering and metallurgical industries.
