To measure non-magnetic coatings (varnishes, enamels etc.) on ferromagnetic substrates (e.g. steel used in construction and for auto body) and to measure insulating coatings (varnishes, enamels, anodic coatings etc.) on non-ferrous metals (aluminium, copper, brass etc.).
Measuring range 0 to 2 mm.
With preset measuring units µm or mils. Please specify while placing the order.
Enables 1-point calibrations.
Non-destructive coating thickness measurement:
Non-magnetic coatings like varnishes, enamels, chrome and zinc on ferromagnetic base materials (e.g. steel)
Insulating coatings like varnishes and anodising aluminium on non-ferrous metals (e.g. aluminium, copper, die-cast zinc)
Magnetic induction (F-type sensors) according to DIN EN ESO 2808, method 7C
Eddy current (N-type sensors) according to DIN EN ESO 2808, method 7D

Product DescriptionMiniTest 650
The rugged coating thickness gauge MiniTest 650 follows its long-time proven predecessor model MiniTest 600 in the line of gauges with a fixed external probe offering measurement of all non-magnetic coatings on steel and all insulating coatings on non-ferrous metals. It was especially designed to work in rough environments as well as on on abrasive surfaces, e.g. shot-blasted steel, plasma spray coated surfaces.
